Anyone out there have a bassett? I didn’t know how charming they were until this fellow wandered up to our house about 2 months ago and decided to stay. He came and went for the first month, but after that he decided to stay. He was in bad shape when he first showed up and clearly had been on his own for a while. We live out –way out–so people routinely dump dogs. We asked around the neighborhood, but no one claimed him, so since he claimed us, we decided to keep him. We don’t know his name, but what else do you call a bassett, so we stuck with Bo. He doesn’t answer to that, but his charm and sweet desposition make up for his lack of response. LOL Welcome Bo to our family.
