Late-in-coming vacation update
Well, this is definitely later than I anticipated, but I have been catching up on my latest project. I did a pretty little blog background (if I do say so myself LOL) for my friend Dawn over at Froggaritaville, so pop in and tell her hi. She has some neat contests too.
Stampwise, I have been designing a new line for Stamping Bella….it is preeeeeettttttty cute…..no hints though. LOL
Personally, I have been scratching and itching my poor legs in between bouts of calamine lotion to stop the amazingly bothersome case of poison ivy I caught hiking somewhere in Yosemite. LOL I guess I never had poison ivy before because I would have remembered this….Wow, it is a pain…literally!
But the vacation was worth it, so I thought I would share some pictures…ready for the gloriousness of California? Now I know why people live there. It is so gorgeous and filled with things to do. There is no way we could have covered all the coolness of it all. On the downside, I will never try to drive that far again….craziness, I tell you. What were we thinking? LOL
But after arriving, we stayed in a cool little hotel in Petaluma (which I forgot to photograph) for a few days and then ventured out to go camping near Muir Woods and then in Yosemite and then back to civilization in San Fran. After that, we started back home by way of the coast and Monterey. The aquarium there was magnificent.
The main downside to the trip was the sheer number of people everywhere….people from all over the world as well as Californians just filled up all the spaces. It didn’t dim the gloriousness of the natural beauty, but it was unexpected.
All in all, we had a great time and I am so thrilled we had our first family vacation in…well, more than 10 years. I hope you enjoy the few pictures below of the sights. They don’t cover everything, but we would need a whole site dedicated to that alone!!!!

WOW…the pictures are amazing Christy! breathtaking! I am so glad you had such a good trip!! Sorry you got poison ivyon the trip though…I know how bad it can be! Have you tried an aveeno bath? Or taken benadryl and/or used benadryl anti itch? Theres tons of ideas online too from baking soda and water paste to using rubbing alcohol! LOL Whatever you do I just hope it gets better soon hun!!
Thank you for my awesome blog…I LOVE IT!!
Hugs,
Froggy
Okay, Miss Christy~now we must add landscape photographer to your endless list of amazing talents! These are fabulous! All familiar sites since I grew up in CA. Sorry about the poison ivy. Believe it or not, poison oak is even worse. Maybe a good glass of wine would help~not the itching so much, but at least you’d enjoy it while you scratch! LOL Glad that you are home safe and sound.
Beautiful photos!! Beautiful job on the blog!
